C:/Users/(your current user)/AppData/roaming/.minecraft. This is located at C: (or whatever drive you installed Minecraft on). Then navigate to Minecraft's AppData directory. Obtaining the Texturesįirst you need to download a program such as WinRAR, which will allow you to extract. Luckily, instead of downloading them from the internet, you can very easily grab all textures from Minecraft with relative ease, helping you immensely with mod development. Many mods will want to copy these textures and recolor them to make new weapons, mob variants, etc. At many points while making your mod, you may wish to refer to vanilla Minecraft's textures.
